Monique Lhuillier Waterford

Monique Lhuillier (pronounced loo-lee-aye) was born to French, Spanish / Filipino parents and was raised in the Philippines. As a child, Monique was influenced by her mother’s glamorous sense of style and her family travelled extensively. Monique attended school in Switzerland and then moved to Los Angeles to study at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. It was during this time that Monique met her husband Tom Bugbee. Monique Lhuillier and Tom Bugbee, a young, dynamic husband and wife team, founded their company in 1996 by launching their first bridal collection. The bridal line was extremely well received by fashion-savvy brides, editors and celebrities. In 2002, the ready to wear and eveningwear collections were launched.

Today, Monique is considered one of the leading Bridal and Ready to Wear designers; her collections are always luxurious, feminine, modern, chic and true to her aesthetic. Having dressed Hollywood’s leading ladies, Monique now brings this unique style to the table in a collection influenced by her luxurious fabrics and finishes, blending luxury, glamour and sophistication with subtle use of textures and fine detailing. Monique combines femininity with a sassy, sexy attitude to create a stunning range of designer dinnerware, and giftware. Made from fine bone china and the highest quality crystal she combines both fashionable indulgence and accessibility to offer a fresh alternative to homewares and bridal gift giving.
